Kane Vet and Patterson Dentaire will join forces
Teams from Kane Vet and Patterson Dentaire joined forces for Truth and Reconciliation Day (Orange Shirt Day) to assemble dental kits for the Indigenous Dental Association of Canada. The IDAC then forwards them on to the various bands.
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. The day honors the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
“The Edmonton Dentaire branch has a large education centre, so last year we invited our colleagues from Kane, also located in Edmonton, to join us here at our branch. It was fantastic meeting some of our Kane colleagues. We’re combining forces to do the bag stuffing together again this year,” said Ada Tabensky, operations manager for Patterson Dentaire. The teams count the volunteer time as team VTO, something all Patterson employees can use to come together as a team and make a difference.
The Patterson Foundation donate $1,000 to the IDAC through Dollars for Doers; when team members volunteer, the Foundation donates $100 for each employee.
