Course for a cause: Nashville branch drives successful golf event
Josh Clendenin knows firsthand the difference Interfaith Dental makes for patients who can’t afford regular dentistry; he’s seen their reconstructed smiles at events. Josh is GM of the Nashville branch. After the first check presentation he attended on behalf of the Foundation, he was so moved by the work of Interfaith that he is now co-chair of a hugely successful golf fundraiser – this year, it raised $50,000!
“They’ve always been a pillar in the community that everyone helps out because they do so much good. All of the manufacturers and distributors in middle Tennessee help them out. Our branch spearheads the golf tournament and helps to make it successful,” Josh said.
“You never know somebody’s story. You never know the impact that you’re making but you are making an impact,” Josh told us. “There’s a lot of things you can do in life. I think being a servant, giving back and just helping people from the goodness of your heart is an amazing feeling. We’re grateful to do it. I tell everyone this: I love working for a company that is so people-first.”
The Foundation’s donation of a Q2 grant of $12,200 to Interfaith will support an on-staff dental assistant for their Teeth for Life program. Interfaith has been partnering with the Foundation since 2008 and has received 14 grants prior, totaling $210,538.
