Dinuba, California, team honors MLK Jr. Day by volunteering in their community
Dinuba employees and a few of their family members volunteered at the local Dinuba high school by unloading and sorting canned goods. The high school students organized the canned food drive to donate the food to Open Gate Ministries, a nonprofit serving the under-resourced in northern Tulare and southern Fresno Counties.
“This is the second year in a row that we have done this on Martin Luther King Jr. Day since the holiday is designated as a National Day of Service,” said Dinuba Department Manager Christine Trinidad. “Looks like we might make this an annual event from now on!”
The team unloaded over 3,000 cans of food and Dinuba continues to be an outstanding example of a location that is constantly making their community better.
