As a people-first organization, it is important to support our employees. To encourage volunteering, we offer eight hours of volunteer time off (VTO) per year for employees to volunteer with local nonprofit organizations they care about. Teams also can come together and volunteer at an organization or event by using uncapped team service hours.

Patterson Foundation
Our giving history started with Patterson employees, who endowed our Foundation. The legacy gave Patterson a solid foundation for philanthropy.
The Patterson Foundation creates meaningful impact for our employees, industries and communities. Through quarterly grants, the Patterson Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in the oral and animal health fields. The grants help organizations provide essential dental services, training for life-changing service animals, youth leadership organizations and so much more. Additionally, the Patterson Foundation’s Dollars for Doers program donates $100 per employee to the organization where they volunteered.
The Patterson Foundation awards scholarships to eligible dependents of Patterson employees the U.S., U.K. and Canada. This program helps students with the cost of post-secondary education at an accredited two- or four-year college or vocational/technical school – strengthening future generations.
