Introducing our team of executive officers:
Scott P. Anderson
President and Chief Executive Officer
The Patterson Companies Board of Directors named Scott president and chief executive officer in 2010. He served as president of Patterson Dental, the Company’s largest business, since 2006. Senior management positions held with the dental unit also include vice president, sales, and vice president, marketing. Scott began his career as a Patterson Dental territory sales representative.
Peter L. Frechette
Chairman of the Board
In addition to holding this position since 1985, Pete’s leadership posts with the Company have included chief executive officer (1982 to 2005) and president (1982 to 2003). Before his career with Patterson, Pete worked for American Hospital Supply Corp. for 18 years, the last seven of which he served as president, Scientific Products Division.
R. Stephen Armstrong
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Steve was elected to his position in 1999. His prior record of employment includes assurance partner with Ernst & Young LLP, currently the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm.
David P. Sproat
President, Patterson Medical
Dave transitioned to president of the Company’s rehabilitation supply business in 2005, after serving as vice president of sales and in various other sales and marketing capacities with Patterson’s dental unit.
Paul A. Guggenheim
President, Patterson Dental
Paul became president of Patterson Dental in 2010. He has held distinguished leadership posts in the industry for over 25 years, including president of Guggenheim Brothers Dental Supply Co., acquired by Patterson Dental in 2000. Paul also managed Patterson’s Southwest Region for several years.
George L. Henriques
President, Webster Veterinary
George began his tenure as president of Patterson’s veterinary unit in 2006. Before providing leadership in this capacity, he served as Webster’s chief information officer.
Ranell M. Hamm
Vice President, Chief Information Officer
The board elected Ranell chief information officer in 2011. Ranell’s previous executive level positions include senior director of clinical information delivery with UnitedHealth Group and chief information officer/chief operating officer of Shared Business Services at Assurant, Inc., as well as senior vice president roles.
Jerome E. Thygesen
Vice President, Human Resources
Jerry accepted his position with Patterson in 2006. Before joining Patterson, he held the posts of vice president, organizational development for Fairview Red Wing Health Services and director of Human Resources for Red Wing Shoe Company.
