Patterson began trading on the NASDAQ Stock Market in 1992. In 2004, the Company changed its corporate name from Patterson Dental Company to Patterson Companies, Inc., but retained the existing stock symbol (NASDAQ: PDCO).
A member of the S&P 500, Patterson’s corporate name change was adopted to reflect an expanding base of businesses, which includes the veterinary and rehabilitation supply markets, as well as its traditional base of operations in the dental supply market. The Company has approximately 6,850 employees across its three business units: Patterson Dental, Webster Veterinary and Patterson Medical.
